How to move wordpress from local server to live site?
When you move your wordpress website from local server to live site, anyone will be able to access it just by going to your website address. So, how you will do this?
Follow this step by step tutorial to move WordPress from local server to live site.
Well, this can be done in 5 steps.
Step 1: Install and activate “All in one wp migration” plugin in your local wordpress.
So, login to your local wordpress site from this link localhost/wordpress/wp-admin. Go to plugin button on the left hand side and then click on Add New plugin. Then search for the plugin “All-in-One WP Migration” in the search bar. Then finally click on install and activate. Then you will see “All-in-One Wp Migration” option in the left hand side bar and click on export option.
Step 2: Export the file and then download it.
After you click on export, select “File” and click on “Download Localhost”
Step 3: Again install and activate “All in one wp migration” plugin in your live wordpress.
Now open your live website or live wordpress dashboard so that you can install and activate the same “All-in-One WP Migration” plugin. After it is installed and activated, you will see “All-in-One Wp Migration” option in the left hand side bar and click on import option.
Step 4: Import the file into it.
After you click on import option, click on “File” under “Import From” option. Now select the file that you just downloaded as per Step 2 and click on open. That’s it now let’s move to another step.
Step 5: Open the new wordpress dashboard with old username/email and password you created in local wordpress.
